KARACHI: A drive will be launched against the illegal water hydrants in the metropolis.
In this connection, the Sindh Local Government Department has set up a five-member committee. The committee comprises officials of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Anti-Encroachment Force, Karachi and CDGK.
The committee will initiate an operation to close down illegal water hydrants in the city. The committee will take pre-operation steps to ensure crackdown on illegal hydrants.
In coordination with KWSB, the revenue police will execute anti-illegal hydrant operations and be responsible for crackdown on this illegal activity and its operators.
