ISLAMABAD: The residents and commuters have expressed their dismay on the deteriorating condition of Airport road due to lethargy of the CDA high ups.

The vital link between the twin cities is fast breaking up between Kutchery and Karal Chowks at various places and the residents say repeated reminders to the concerned CDA Director have fallen on deaf ears.

Ever increasing load and past rains have damaged the road adding to it are the ruts and cuts which are further breaking up the road between the two cities.

Dr. Abid Farooqui who daily travels to the Capital said, "It is simply unbelievable that the CDA is neglecting a road which is categorized as VIP route. Another resident Jabbar Zekria said the CDA is already facing financial crunch is allowing its break up which could be saved with timely repairs.

The residents of the nearby colony's who benefit from this road have urged the Chairman CDA to look into the matter and order its timely repair.

Similarly, the motorists called for carrying out patch work on all loop roads along the Faizabad interchange.

Meanwhile, the residents of Dhoke Kala Khan have demanded of Hanif Abbasi, an MNA of the constituency, to get the link to Islamabad Highway carpeted which was broken up due to construction of the pedestrian bridge as it is creating problems for the area residents to drive on the katcha road and the pedestrians have to face dust.
