LAHORE: Hundreds of colleges across Punjab on Saturday continued to observe a complete strike against police torture on teachers and students during a protest in Lahore.
An appeal for boycotting educational activities was made by a Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising of teachers and students.
JAC has announced that it will stage a sit-in in front of the Punjab Assembly on January 8.
It further said that the protest will continue unless the government removes the board of governors from colleges.
In addition, JAC ruled out any possibility of talks with the provincial government.
