PM performs commissioning of submarine Hamza

KARACHI: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday said today is ``a great day for Pakistan to have indigenously built Agosta 90-B submarine completed for Pakistan Navy.''
He was speaking after he performed commissioning ceremony of submarine Hamza at Pakistan Naval Dockyard Friday evening in Karachi.
Prime Minister said ``we are grateful to France for providing support to Pakistan Navy.'' He hoped Pakistan and France will continue their economic cooperation in the interest of people of two countries.
Gilani also paid homage to French engineers and technicians who lost their lives during 2002 terrorist attack in Karachi.
