ISLAMABAD: Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has forwarded a summary to the Ministry of Production and Industries to increase the sugar price by Rs 15 at its outlets, Geo News reported.
Sources in the ministry told Geo News that the sugar price would be increased to Rs 70 from the current price of Rs 55.
USC official pointed out that as per ECC decision a difference of Rs 10 to 15 would be maintained between open market price and USC price of sugar.
Open market price of sugar was Rs 85 while at USC outlets it is being sold at Rs 55.
