PESHAWAR: Former president General ® Pervez Musharraf’s spokesman Rashad Qureshi said on Friday that Musharraf would announce the manifesto of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) on October 1 in London and explain the reasons behind its formation.

Talking to reporters at the Peshawar Press Club, Qureshi said, “The current rulers are busy in accumulating wealth for themselves, while Musharraf is raising funds for flood-affected people in London. He has so far raised Rs 260 million.”

Qureshi claimed that the nation needed Musharraf. “In Pakistan, Musharraf is the only leader who can take the country and the nation out of the present crises,” he said.

Former federal minister Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that the APML was launched in March and now party leaders were making efforts to organise it.

“Musharraf will face all the cases registered against him. He is not involved in Akbar Bugti’s murder, who was killed in an operation,” he said.
