MUMBAI: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan won the 'Best Actor' award at the 57th National Film Awards. Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots' was adjudged as the 'Best Popular Film'.
While Amitabh Bachchan won the 'Best Actor' award for 'Paa', Ananya Chatterjee bagged 'Best Actress ' award for Bengali film 'Abohoman'. Malayalam film 'Kutty Srank' won the 'Best Film' award.
Rituparno Ghosh won the 'Best Director' award for 'Abohoman'. Delhi-6 was given the 'Nargis Dutt Award' for Best Film with Social Message.
'Kutty Srank' won five awards - 'Best Feature Film', 'Best Cinematography', 'Best Screenplay','Best Costume' and a Special Jury Recognition.
This is the third time Amitabh Bachchan won the 'Best Actor' award. He had earlier won the award for 'Agneepath' and 'Black'.
