‘Website detailing aid usage to be launched today’
KARACHI: Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday that a website containing details about the inflow and use of funds collected from local and foreign sources would be launched on Thursday.
The minister said that information about the entire collection, whether a cut in Pakistan’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) or funds received from foreign countries and UN agencies regarding the first phase of rehabilitation, would be available on this website immediately after Eid.
Kaira said that this decision was taken at a recently held meeting of the Council of Common Interest (CCI) presided over by the prime minister and attended by all chief ministers.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that details of flood relief funds would be put on the website to ensure transparency. All details of aid inflow and its utilisation would be posted on the website.
