RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has approved 11 development projects, to be launched in Rawalpindi, and allocated Rs 1.67 billion funds for them, sources said.

They said the funds would be spent on renovation and construction of many government-owned buildings and installation of tube wells.

They said construction of family barracks at Adiala Jail would cost Rs 11.8 million, establishment of an industrial home Rs 32.9 million, setting up of entry and exit post in Attock Rs 9.782 million, erection of a boundary wall at Police Lines Rs 10.182 million, installation of two tube wells at Police College Sihala Rs 9.9 million, constriction of five homes for the Attock Jail assistant superintendent Rs 18.6 million, quarters for lecturers at Police College Sihala Rs 14.7 million, laying down of sewers at Police Lines Rs 14.5 million and establishment of two bar rooms at Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, Rs 169. 888 million. online
