ISLAMABAD: Islamabad traders community is near a solution of decade’s old controversy pertaining to promulgation of Islamabad rental law.

The community central organizing secretary Ajmal Baloch told APP that Federal Law Minister Babar Awan had assured them that the government would soon formulate rules and regulations to protect rights of tenants and owners.

He said Chief Commissioner had sent our recommended draft to law ministry that would be presented in the National Assembly by law minister soon. Baloch urged the law minister to introduce law to control rent of shops in city markets.

He said that high rents of shops were forcing them to close their business as increasing inflation in the country had already reduced the purchasing power of customers. He said it was difficult for the traders to run their business.
