LAHORE: Two teams of doctors from Services Hospital, Mayo Hospital and Jinnah Hospital left for the flood-hit districts of Muzaffargarh, Jampur and Rajanpur on Wednesday. A team of 10 young doctors belonging to the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has been sent to Muzaffargarh and Jampur. The team has four doctors from Services Hospital and six from Mayo Hospital. This team will replace the doctors already working in the Jampur camp and will also take along medicines worth Rs 100,000. According to a statement issued by the PMA, Dr Yasmin Rashid, the president of the PMA in Lahore, along with a team of six other female doctors, provided treatment to about 1,200 patients in Swat and Charsadda and returned to Lahore on Wednesday. Also, an 18-member medical team headed by Professor of Gynecology Dr Amatul Zareen left Jinnah Hospital for Rajanpur to provide medical relief to flood victims.
