KARACHI: Prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have increased by Rs.15 per kilogramme on Wednesday. It is the second time within a week that the prices have been increased.


After the new hike in LPG prices, the price of domestic cylinder has increased by Rs.170 while commercial cylinder’s price has risen by Rs.680.

According to new tariff, the price of one kilogramme of LPG in Lahore and Gujranwala is Rs.105; therefore, the domestic cylinder now costs at Rs.1012 and commercial cylinder at Rs.1190.

In Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajan Pur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Kashmor, Hyderabad and Mirpur, the price of one kilogramme of LPG is now Rs.125; domestic cylinder is of Rs.1130 whereas commercial cylinder is being sold at Rs.1248.

In Peshawar and Muzaffarabad, LPG is now sold at Rs.125 per kilogramme, domestic cylinder is of Rs.1248 while commercial cylinder is priced at Rs.1425.


In Swat, Gilgit and FATA areas the new price of one kilogramme of LPG is Rs.140, domestic cylinder is of Rs.1370 while commercial cylinder is sold at Rs.1602.


LPG distribution association said that the hike in prices was totally unjustified.
