RAWALPINDI: Though the duration of traffic jams in the city are increasing and the situation has put the residents in trouble, the authorities has not yet commenced the mega project of Leh Expressway to ease traffic.
People belonging to various walks of life said Leh Expressway was need of the hour and the only solution to the traffic burden in the city.
Muhammad Kashif, a resident, said travelling on Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Road required patience and bravery.
In this harsh and humid weather, the commuters have to wait for several hours to reach their destination, he added.
He said that most of the people quarreled each other to overtake their vehicles and many such cases were being registered daily only due to traffic burden.
He said Leh expressway project should be started at the earliest to solve the traffic problem. app
