THE Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has disposed of more than 1,900 pending applications during the last 10 days. In a press release issued here Wednesday, LDA officials said the applications were pending at the One Window Cell of the authority. It said more than 900 challans for depositing dues under various heads, including fee for transfer of plots, charges for getting extension in building period of plots as well as expenses for issuance of completion certificates of buildings were also issued. They said with a view to provide relief to the applicants, LDA Director General Omer Rasool had ordered posting of additional staff for reinforcing the ‘One Window Cell’ and later the staff of all the directorates concerned had been ordered to work for extra hours, till 7pm daily to redress the pending complaints.
