Karachi

DHA Karachi Administrator Brig Tirmizi categorically negated the impression that he, or any other official of the DHA, had influenced the transfer of former CBC CEO Zeenat Ahmed.

“We have no authority whatsoever in this regard,” Tirmizi asserted.

According to the DHA administrator, Ahmed had been working on the post for over two years, and as per the rules, anybody – including Tirmizi – could be transferred anytime. “There shouldn’t be any element of surprise or shock in this transfer, and it should be regarded as a routine matter, he said.

Tirmizi maintained that as the administrator of DHA and the president of CBC, he enjoyed a “perfect relationship” with the former CEO, and he availed the full cooperation and support of the cantonment official on several affairs of the Defence Authority.

“She was completely onboard on all the related affairs and issues of the DHA. Had I influenced that transfer I should have spoken about it openly,” Tirmizi said.
