LAHORE: After three days of hectic negotiations between the government and traders, most of the Lahore's traders associations have agreed to shut their businesses at 8pm.

However, it is on the condition that they are given uninterrupted power supply for 4 hours before they close shops. According to the agreement, wedding halls will close at 10pm.

The decision was reached at a meeting between Lahore Commissioner Khusro Pervaiz and representatives of different traders associations.

The traders demanded the government to supply uninterrupted power from 4pm to 8pm to the shops.

The commissioner said that the Lesco has assured the government that the traders will get 4 hours of uninterrupted electricity to run their businesses smoothly.

However, there are a few traders groups that have not agreed to close shops at 8pm in the evening. They want the closure timing to start at 9pm.—DawnNews
