ISLAMABAD: Meeting of the Core Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was held today at the Presidency with President Asif Ali Zardari in chair. Briefing the journalists Spokesperson to the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting discussed current political situation in the country.
The meeting also discussed the prevailing power situation in the country. In this context, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Minister for Water and Power briefed the committee and explained the measures that have been taken to address the situation.
The spokesperson said that the President during the meeting asked the Minister for Water and Power to address the issues of power shortage on war footings.
