LAHORE: Yousaf Ahad Malik on Tuesday submitted an application with Garden Town Police for the registration of a theft case against a contractor of
the Lahore Development
Authority (LDA).

In his application, Malik, who is the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Lahore president, said the Punjab government had deputed the contractor for the demolition of his building ‘Ahad Tower’ at Kalma Chowk since the past three months. He alleged that on Monday night he found out that the contractor and the security guards had stolen elevators and iron rods worth more than
Rs 15 million.

He said when asked, the contractor and the security guards said they had no knowledge of the incident. Station House Officer Rehan Zia told Daily Times that according to the application, Malik alleged that the LDA contractor and the security guards had stolen his property, adding however that investigation was underway.
